Consulta: 

¿Cuál es la forma correcta, o lo son ambas? De ser ambas, ¿siempre lo fueron o había una sóla correcta y luego se aceptó la otra forma?

Respuesta: 

Reemplazar se registra desde 1737; solo en 1956 se incorpora remplazar. Ambas son adecuadas.
