Respuesta: 

Lleva tilde sobre la -a- siempre que se refiera a la forma conjugada en segunda persona del singular del verbo estar: María está escuchando música clásica. Usados como adjetivos demostrativos, esta, estas, este y estos no llevan tilde: esta casa, estas escuelas, este lápiz, estos cuadernos. Pueden llevar tilde diacrítica cuando empleados como pronombres demostrativos (ver el Diccionario panhispánico de dudas, http://buscon.rae.es/dpdI/SrvltConsulta?lema=esta).
