En el diccionario de la RAE el vervo caer tiene tres acepciones transitivas, mi duda incluye a dos de ellas, más concretamente:26. tr. Dejar caer.27. tr. Tirar o hacer caer.¿Se podría entender entonces que frases como he caído la taza,construcciones muy utilizadas en Extremadura y parte de la provincia de Toledo, son correctas?

Respuesta: 

Las perífrasis verbales se usan como transitivas: Juan ha dejado/dejó caer un libro. Juan hizo caer un libro.Caer, usado en lugar de dejar caer, no pertenece al lenguaje esmerado. Corresponde He dejado caer la taza, no es adecuado *He caído la taza.
