Quisiera saber si cuando un artículo de un código o ley inicia una enumeración lo correcto es hablar de ordinal o de numeral. Por ejemplo el artículo 245 del Código Civil establece: son motivos de desalojo: 1º La falta de pago del canon de arrendamiento. 2º El deterioro del inmueble. ¿Qué diríamos que la falta de pago esta contemplada en el ordinal primero o en el numeral primero?

Respuesta: 

Puesto que el adjetivo numeral incluye tanto a los cardinales como a los ordinales, puede referirse a una parte del artículo de alguna de estas formas: el numeral ordinal 1° (primero), 2°(segundo), etc.;el ordinal 1° (primero), 2°(segundo), etc.;el numeral 1° (primero), 2° (segundo), etc.; el numeral uno, dos, etc. Lo que no se debe escribir es el ordinal uno, dos, etc. porque estos son numerales cardinales. También debe tomar en cuenta que dependiendo del país, varía la denominación: apartado, punto, ordinal, numeral.
