Es correcto el uso de la palabra ellos en el siguiente parrafo.• La incontinencia funcional sucede en muchas personas mayores que tienen un control normal de la vejiga. Ellos simplemente tienen un problema en llegar al sanitario debido a la artritis o a otros trastornos que les impiden moverse con rapidez.

Respuesta: 

«Ellos» podría refereirse a «los mayores», pero es más adecuado el uso de «ellas» aludiendo a «personas mayores» que fue mencionado anteriormente.
