Cuando se encabeza un documento con la el lugar y la fecha correspondiente, sería mejor poner «Enero de 2016» o «Enero del 2016».

Respuesta: 

​Ambas formas son adecuadas, pero las academias recomiendan no usar el artículo: enero de 2016.​
