¿Existe alguna diferencia entre español y castellano como nombres de la lengua?

Respuesta: 

Español y castellano son sinónimos, más allá de las divergencias internas en España y la legislación de cada país. Hispanohablantes e hispanoparlantes también lo son, así como castellanohablantes y castellanoparlantes, aunque preferimos hispanohablantes y castellanohablantes.
