Consulta: 

...«un» 25 de enero de 201... Mucha gente utiliza esta indeterminación (un) para referirse a algo tan determinado y concreto como es una fecha con día, mes y año. Otra cosa sería, por ejemplo, al faltar la información del año, pues hay muchos «25 de enero». Esto, incluso, lo veo con cierta frecuencia en profesionales y gente de cultura (periodistas, escritores, conferenciantes, etc.). Yo creo que es algo incorrecto, y que debería ser: ... «el» 25 de enero de 2017. ¿Qué opinan ustedes?

Respuesta: 

En principio usted está en lo correcto. Sin embargo, la expresión un + día del mes + año (que se ve empleada con o sin la mención del año) pretende no tanto informar de la fecha de ocurrencia de un evento, aunque de hecho lo hace, sino presentarla dentro del marco descriptivo de una narración, como si fuera la fecha de un suceso que ocurre desprevenidamente, un día cualquiera de ese año.
